When hospital staff sang in choirs that competed against each other, their rates of sick leave dropped by ten per cent after just eight months. The employees said they were more engaged, were in better health, and that their work environment was better. NTNU, the Norwegian Entertainment Medical Institute and the Nord-Trøndelag Health are behind the project, called “The sound of satisfaction.”
